We are Rena and Sam, two Rabbinical students at HUC-JIRin New York.
We started @Modern_Ritual the Instagram account in spring 2017 when Rena approach Sam in the library with the idea. "There needs to be engaging, beautiful Jewish content on Instagram," she said, "and I think we can create it together." "I'm in," said Sam. "No, I want to do this for real," Rena replied. Sam thought for a minute. "I'm in."
Since then, thanks to you - more and more people engage with @Modern_Ritual's feminist, Jewish content every day. We love being Jewish - how our particular identity helps us see the world, and we love sharing it with you.
