Torahs (Jewish bibles) we love!

The Bible is a crazy text, written in an old language! This means that a great Bible translation and commentary are critical to help us understand this incredible, inspiring text.

Two options that we love are:

The Torah: A Women’s Commentary, edited by Tamara Cohn-Eskenazi and Andrea Weiss (our teacher!). This volume includes Hebrew and English, and amazing poetic and academic feminist commentary.

The Contemporary Torah, published by JPS. This all-English volume is gender sensitive!
